Daniel Lanzilotta uses discarded materials as evidence of what we consume, what we ignore, and what we have decided is disposable. 

NOTHING IS DISPOSABLE. Not a bottle cap. Not a neighborhood. Not a story. Not a person.

An environmental artist, cultural storyteller, and activist, Daniel has spent nearly thirty years looking closely at what others have decided is finished. Working with plastic debris collected from shorelines, waterways, and streets, he creates sculpture and wearable art that turns discarded material into evidence.

The beauty gets you to look. The question is what happens after you do. LOOK AGAIN.  Reconsider what we consume, what we throw away, and what we have learned not to see. One object is easy to dismiss. Thousands are impossible to ignore.
