ART
ART
Daniel Lanzilotta works with what others have already decided is useless, disposable.
Plastic collected from shorelines and streets. Found objects. Discarded materials. Fragments that have been overlooked, forgotten, or written off.
He brings them together through cutting, welding, assembling, and recombination—not to disguise what they were, but to make their presence impossible to ignore.
The materials are evidence. The art is testimony.
A bottle cap can disappear into the landscape. A thousand bottle caps assembled together cannot. This is the principle behind Daniel's non-extractive practice: look closely before deciding something has no further value.
